Daily Diet: Hebrews 13:1-3 – Let Brotherly Love Continue
Hebrews 13:1-3 [KJV]
- Let brotherly love continue. 2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. 3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
Hebrews 13:1-3 [NET]
- Brotherly love must continue. 2 Do not neglect hospitality, because through it some have entertained angels without knowing it. 3 Remember those in prison as though you were in prison with them, and those ill-treated as though you too felt their torment.
Hebrews 13:1-3 [NLT]
- Keep on loving each other as brothers and sisters 2. Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it! 3. Remember those in prison, as if you were there yourself. Remember also those being mistreated, as if you felt their pain in your bodies.
Key: One domineering problem of this generation is the absence of love; in our churches and the society at large. This has culminated to the high rate of crime, corruption, inhumanity and all sorts of evil doings. The word of God today is telling us to re-awaken the love, continue to love another; where love dwells peace dwells, where peace dwells prosperity resides.
Prayer: Father, give me the grace to love like Jesus.
Happy Valentine’s Day
