Inability to fulfill destiny in life is the greatest loss a man could experience on earth.
2Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.
Every man on earth has been created to fulfill a destiny in life. As a child of God, there are certain steps to take to discover and to fulfill your destiny.
#1. Have a close relationship with God: Being born-again and the baptismal of the Holy Spirit are fundamental steps to having intimacy with God.
1 Cor. 2: 14-16 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
From the bible text it is clear that it is through the mind we can discern the things of the spirit. So, when you have a close relationship HE will reveal your destiny to you. HE will also direct your path.
#2. Study the word of God: 2 Tim. 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
From the texts we can deduce that if one obeys what is in the word of God he/she will fulfill destiny in life. The word of God is a guide to keep you in the path to fulfilling your destiny.
#3. Make Yourself Available: 2 Timothy 2: 19-21 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, [and] prepared unto every good work.
There are many angels in heaven but Christ made himself available for the master’s use wherein He came to the world to sacrifice His soul that we may live. God rewarded HIM by making HIM sit at the right-hand side of HIS throne.
Thus as a Christian you should make yourself available for the kingdom objectives knowing that God would in turn reward you. 1 Cor. 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
#4. Stay Away from Sin: Isaiah 59:1-2 Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
God is willing to do all that we request of HIM but our sinful nature is the barricade that has prevented His blessings from manifesting in our lives. Our God is a holy God and He demands holiness from us –1Pet.1:16. Paul also wrote in Romans 6:1 that we cannot continue in sin and still expect the grace of God to abound. Therefore, examine yourself; is your life right with God? Can God attest to your righteousness like He did for Job? STAY AWAY FROM SIN.
