Caption: How God sees you; a cue from the story of Adam
He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?” The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.”
Genesis 3:11-12 ESV
When a man is in this level of perception, then such person is canal, moved by senses and mental/natural stuffs. God never saw Adam being naked, after all God sees man as man “the spirit”; God’s perception. But, Adam saw himself being naked so God asked ” When did you start seeing yourself outside the way I see you? I don’t see you naked but you see yourself naked, when did you start noticing yourself by yourself; human perception (Genesis 3:9-12). When we begin to notice ourselves outside how God sees us, then we become vulnerable and circumstances not sent by God comes our way but until we start seeing us as God sees us, we won’t be able to overcome those circumstances because circumstances won’t stop coming.Your perception about yourself will determine your victory.
Either you get sensual and go for natural way out and pray fear-filled unbelieving prayers or see yourself as God sees you and express your victory in Christ
Now, that’s what sin practically does..it makes you “canal”, sensual, mentally driven.
Same goes for Adam, he fed on food that destroyed his spiritual nature, thereby disobeying God. Immediately he ate the forbidden fruit his canal senses came alive (Genesis 3:9), he became aware of himself (as an ordinary man) and afterwards he started drifting away from God forgetting his original spiritual nature, he started struggling with stuff he isn’t supposed to struggle with.
So, we see that sin drifts us into sensuality and literally alienate us from our spiritual reality. However, the scripture teaches that we don’t run off when we fall(Jonah 1:1-3), we rather run to Him, because as long as man is in the flesh there are limitations which will make him fall; that’s why right standing with God is a gift for us who are in Christ.
So regardless of our falls, we are still His and forever His. We go back to our Father when we fall (Job 22:23), He washes us (by the Word) and strengthen us through prayers and in return, we thank Him for His unending love then we move on!
Finally folks, try as much as possible to stay sharp, studying the scriptures and praying consistently, by doing this the Bible says we look into a mirror(the Word) and see ourselves as He sees us and we never forget our reality!
So when the flood comes, we raise a standard against it (Isaiah 59:19), because surely circumstances will keep coming to us but we condemn them all because we see ourselves as He sees us. Therefore, we know who we are!!
But should we fall, we are not rejected, so we still study the word, pray and keep the daily mind renewal going so we don’t become weak and vulnerable yet with much power on the inside!
So folks, stay sharp but if you fall, remember He loves you and is always ready to clean you up more than 70 X 7 times!! (Matthew 18:21)
