Prayer: Father, from this moment, remove every garment of shame from my life.
Arise – What does it mean – Arise means different things to different people. It’s all a matter of where you are. The Arise mentioned in Isaiah chapter 60 vs 1 is not a plea, it is a command.
What does Arise mean to someone who is dead? It means come to life; resurrect – Mark 5:33
If someone is completely dead mentally, arise is saying come back to right mind – Mark 5: 2. When someone is dead materially, arise means come out of debt; be free – 2kings4:1
Declaration: Those of you in serious debts, Arise in Jesus name
If someone is dead spiritually Arise means “come out of sin and back to God”.
Spiritual death is symbolic of hopelessness – Job 14: 7 – 10: John 11:20-25. Arise to the “dead” means, “attack that hopeless in your situation”.
Arise to the one who is sleeping means “wake up” – 1Samule 26:4-16 When you are sleeping, no matter how strong you are you are helpless; open to the attack of the enemy. Matthew 13:24-28 – when you are sleeping, enemy can sow. “Sleep” means motion without progress. You think you are moving but you are on the same spot – proverbs 26:14. “Sleep” means unfulfilling dreams – Isaiah 29:8. Some of us are sleeping.
Lift your hands to the heaven and say “In the name of Jesus, I will arise”
To the one who is sitting Arise means “Stand up”. Sitting means “Resting too Soon” – 1Kings 13:1-35. The problem with many Christians is we are seated; we think we have arrived. To be seated means “you have been relevant before but now you are Relic” – Luke 15:11-19. I will Arise means “I will attack retrogression, I refuse to go down, I refuse to stop until I reach my goal”
Arise to the one who is standing means “Jump to Action, Begin to make progress” – 1Samuel 16:11-13, Acts 3:1-8. Arise means “stop being stagnant, begin to take steps” – 1Kings 7:1-11, Matthew 14:23 – Peter took some steps. Arise means “take steps to fulfill your potential”. Anybody who is not willing to take risk will not go far.
To the one who is already walking, Arise means “Start Running” – 1 Samuel 17:39-49 David and Goliath were already walking and talking towards each other but all of sudden David began to run; it is the one who began to run got the victory. 2 Kings 2:1-15, Acts 8:5-18. Running means to accelerate in promotion, to do greater things.
To the one who is already running, Arise means “begin to fly” – Isaiah 40:31 Acts 8:26-40 – It is possible for the Holy Spirit to take someone who is running to the height he can never imagine.
What does Arise mean to someone who is already flying? It means move from glory to glory – 1Corinthians 3:18. If you are already flying there is still somewhere else to – from glory to glory. Peter began healing by touching – Acts 3:1-8. He moved on to healing by shadow in Acts 5:14-15. Acts 9:32-35 He moved on to healing just by speaking. Then he moved on to raising the dead – Acts 9:3—42. The Almighty God has something higher for you.
