Word of the day: Isaiah 50:7 – Focus on God

Isaiah 50:7 – NKJV – For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore I shall not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.

Isaiah 50:7 – NLT – For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.”

Isaiah 50:7 – AMP – Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore, I have set my face like a stone, determined to do his will. And I know that I will not be put to shame.

Isaiah 50:7 – GNB – But their insults cannot hurt me because the Sovereign LORD gives me help. I brace myself to endure them. I know that I will not be disgraced.

Isaiah 50:7 – MSG – And the Master, God, stays right there and helps me,so I’m not disgraced. Therefore I set my face like a flint, confident that I’ll never regret this.

Key: Aside sin, another major reason God’s people don’t receive answers to their prayers is because they seek other alternatives out of the situation or challenge they are going through even while seeking God. Our God is a jealous God, He will not share His glory with any man(Isaiah 42:8). When prayers are answered only Him should be praise, only Him should be glorified.

God wants us to come to Him in faith that He alone can help us. Going about seeking other means of help will only make Him silent over the situation we are going through.

Action: Your testimonies would come when you focus only on God for help; focus on Him today and you will not be ashamed.
