Caption: Reward For Commitment

Colossians 3:23‭-‬24  – NKJV – And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.

Colossians 3:23‭-‬24 – NLT – Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.

Colossians 3:23‭-‬24 – MSG – Servants, do what you’re told by your earthly masters. And don’t just do the minimum that will get you by. Do your best. Work from the heart for your real Master, for God, confident that you’ll get paid in full when you come into your inheritance. Keep in mind always that the ultimate Master you’re serving is Christ. The sullen servant who does shoddy work will be held responsible. Being a follower of Jesus doesn’t cover up bad work.

Colossians 3:23‭-‬24 – AMP – Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [greatest] reward. It is the Lord Christ whom you [actually] serve.

Colossians 3:23‭-‬24 – ESV – Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

key: Your commitment in service to God and everything about His Lordship is what will earn you the ultimate reward for commitment, which is EVERLASTING LIFE. Life in the same place with Jesus? How wonderful it would be.

Prayer: Father, help me to be committed in serving You from now till the end of my time on earth so that I can be a partaker in your kingdom.

If you don’t know Jesus, you can’t serve Him, hence you can’t be a partaker in His Kingdom.

If you’d like to give your life to Christ so that you can be positioned for this ultimate reward, please pray this prayer: “Father I acknowledge that I am a sinner, I confess that Jesus died for me, took all my infirmities and you raised Him from the dead. Lord please have mercy on me. I accept Jesus today as my Lord and Saviour. Amen.”
